Mitchell Elegbe is Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors at Interswitch, a business he conceptualized and has led since 2002, when the company went into operation. Under his leadership, Interswitch has remarkably diversified its business, broadened distribution channels and expanded into new markets across Africa, driving revolutionary payment innovation and social impact and delivering strong growth in revenue and profits (recognized by Deloitte in 2014 as ‘Africa’s fastest growing technology business’).
Mitchell is an Electrical/Electronic Engineering graduate from the University of Benin, Nigeria and also an alumnus of the IESE/Wharton/CEIBS Global CEO Program. He is a consummate people-centric leader who believes in motivating his colleagues at Interswitch to have confidence in their value as individuals; in the value of the work they do; and in their value as team members, whilst being relentless in his pursuit of sustainable value for stakeholders.
Apart from leading Interswitch to win numerous coveted industry awards, Mitchell’s leadership abilities have earned him several awards, including the CNBC/Forbes All African Business Leader (AABLA) for West Africa in 2012, the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the International Finance Corporation’s Inclusive Business Leader Award and the acclaimed African Leadership Network (ALN) 2013 Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship (AAE), which is one of the most distinguished Africa-focused award programmes, giving over USD 200 000 prize money to outstanding African entrepreneurs who demonstrate business excellence and social impact. Most recently in June 2019, Mitchell was named as the 2019 African Banker Icon by The African Banker.
A Bishop Desmond Tutu fellow of the African Leadership Institute, he enjoys actively mentoring young entrepreneurs, a passion he finds expression for as a member of the board of Endeavor Nigeria.
Idris Musa is an Electrical Engineer, and an Information Management Strategist with experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams towards the delivery of complex technical and transformational projects leveraging technology. A proponent of Change Leadership with a proven track record in fostering innovation, mentoring entrepreneurs and coaching knowledge enthusiasts. He is currently the Group Head of Information Technology in Oando Plc and is responsible for Technology Portfolio Management and the Digital Business Transformation programs that are key to enabling operational excellence, profit protection, translating operational data into strategic insights, and building and sustaining a strong corporate digital culture. He has spent the last few years providing change leadership and foresight for developing and implementing transformational initiatives as a way of enabling the Oando business agenda. In 2019, he directed the delivery of the complete suite of Oracle Cloud ERP project, a first of its kind in Africa, and is on course towards guiding the organization in the achievement of ISO 27001 certification, another first in the oil and gas space. His passion for technology innovation has seen a sustained environmental drive towards operating a paperless office and the reduction of the use of paper by over 50% across the Oando group. He also ensures efficient, cost-effective operations for the enterprise that exemplifies good stewardship, in collaboration with partners and stakeholders. Prior to the digital transformational projects, and following the plunge in the price of crude oil in 2015, Engr. Idris led the technology spend reduction and cost containment strategies aimed at aligning information and technology spend to the business reality at the time. Chief amongst the initiatives included the substitution of major OEM and ERP support with a more cost effective third-party alternatives, leading to over 50% reduction in technology spend for the organization while sustaining the quality and availability of technology solutions to the business. He has co-founded several technology ventures focusing on the delivery of innovative enterprise solutions. His intense passion for giving back has seen him mentor over 100 students, young graduates and professionals towards cultivating extreme leadership and excellence mindset. Having helped numerous professionals secure technology jobs, internship positions across different organizations, he has been quite instrumental in encouraging a lot of youth towards pursuing careers in technology as a way of solving the brain drain that has hit the country. Engr. Idris graduated with B.Eng. from Ahmadu Bello University in 2005, and is a Certified Manager by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) of James Madison University College of Business, US. Idris has also attended several leadership and management courses on enterprise risk management, supply chain strategy, negotiation for executives and managing complex technical projects at the MIT Sloan School of Management, US.
Senator Prince (Dr.) Gbolahan Dada was born to the royal family of His Highness, the Late Oba Timothy Talabi Dada: M.B.E, Q.M.C, J.P, FRGS, the Olota of Ota, Ogun State.
Senator Dada was educated at the famous Aberdeen College of Commerce, Scotland (UK) where he pursued a professional study in Communication Studies in 1975. He also obtained a post graduate Degree in (Industrial Marketing) at British Institute of Marketing from the prestigious Robert Gordon University (RGU), School of Business Studies, Aberdeen, Scotland (UK) in 1977. He also has Certificate in Technology Studies. Senator Dada is an MBA Student at Business School, Netherland (BSN).He is a recipient of many awards and Honours.
Senator Dada has a vast working experience traversing various sectors namely commerce, banking technology etc. He worked as Manager with Irevine Seller Group, London (UK) from 1977 to 1980. He also worked at Thoresen Nigeria Limited before starting his own business. Senator Dada established a Banking technology marketing outfit called JOE-HAN NETWORK MARKETING LTD in 1985 and was the pioneer Chairman/CEO of the Company until he became Senator of the Federal Republic. The company is a major Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Service Provider and technology partners to financial institutions in Nigeria.
In recognition of his vast experience in banking payment solution and Management, Senator Dada was appointed to various Boards from 1992-2009. He was a director at Savannah Bank Nigeria Plc. (formerly Bank of America), Afribank Nigeria Plc, ANP International Finance Ltd, Dublin (Ireland), Afribank International Limited (Merchant Bankers).
Senator Dada has excellently executed various national assignments while serving as a member of CBN Committee on Currency Reform Group and CBN National Payment System Committee.
Senator Dada is a member of various professional Associations and is a Fellow of the Certified Institute of Management, Certified Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Sales and Management, Nigeria Institute of Marketing. He is also President and Founder of Public Integrity Monitor.
In Politics, Senator Dada is a force to be reckoned with. He is a Senior Member of All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected as Distinguished Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria in July 2015 representing OGUN WEST Senatorial District.
Senator Dada is happily married and blessed with children and grandchildren.
