Winners of NCS Information Technology Awards 2014
The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) presented awards to winners of the National Information Technology Competitions and Scholarship at the just concluded 25th National Conference from July 23 to 25, 2014 in Enugu, Enugu State.
The winners of the various categories are listed below:
- Scholarship Award (N500,000.00 Cash Prize)
Aregbesola Kehinde Moses, a Ph.D Student at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He received Award to become the first recipient of the NCS Scholarship Award. The Scholarship is to fund his Doctoral Programme at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
- National Information Technology Whizkids Competition (For Secondary Schools)
1st Prize: Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Ogun State (Represented by Afolami Olowajuwon Yusuf and Bello Adewole Rotimi)
2nd Prize: Mount Gabriel Secondary School, Makurdi, Benue State (Represented by Okwori Samuel and Kwaghaondo Kingsley)
3rd Prize: College of the Immaculate Conception, Enugu State (Represented by Ugwuoke Onyedikachi and Nwibe Tochukwu).
- Olatunji Odegbami National Information Technology Competition (For Tertiary Institutions)
1st Prize: Ugwegbulam Chidiebere of Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri
2nd Prize: Akinrotoye Ayomide of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
3rd Prize: Ekpenkong Ebenezer of Akwa Ibom State University, Uyo
