Workshop 2025
National Security and Digital Economic Protection
Cybersecurity sovereignty refers to a nation’s capacity to autonomously safeguard its digital infrastructure, data, and technologies from cyber threats. This idea encompasses minimizing reliance on foreign entities for crucial cybersecurity components and services, allowing a nation to defend itself without unduly depending on foreign technological resources and innovations.
The cybersecurity landscape in 2024 was shaped by increasing digital reliance and rising threats. To tackle these challenges, countries and organizations must adopt proactive strategies that leverage local innovations, address the skills gap, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaboration among governments, the private sector, and experts is vital for creating a resilient digital ecosystem. The future of cybersecurity relies on continuous innovation, education, and collaboration to protect our interconnected world.
The NCS is organising the 2025 Cybersecurity Forum, which aims to bring together policymakers, cybersecurity experts, academics, industry leaders, and practitioners to harness strategies and share insights on achieving cybersecurity sovereignty. The focus will be on assessing a nation’s capability to govern, regulate, protect, and secure its digital infrastructure, data, technological assets, and cyber-environment, which are vital for preserving national security and digital economy, personal data privacy safeguards, and technological dependency.
The 2025 Cybersecurity Forum will showcase domestic innovations and resilient national cybersecurity frameworks designed to protect critical infrastructure, the cyber environment, and digital assets. It will also establish a collaborative platform for stakeholders to advance technical sovereignty in cybersecurity, ensuring national resilience and security in the digital age.
Partner with NCS to foster technical sovereignty and shape the future of the national cybersecurity programme. By working together, we can build strong frameworks that protect our country and foster a secure digital future for everyone.
