Membership Categories/Grades
Fellow (FNCS)

This is the highest grade of membership, reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of computing and IT in Nigeria; and has not less that ten years of NCS Membership

Member (MNCS)

This category is for professionals who hold relevant qualifications and have not less than five years post NYSC record of practice in the Computing/IT sector

Associate Member (AMNCS)

This membership is open to individuals with recognized Computing/IT qualifications who are actively engaged in the practice of Computing and IT.

Graduate (GMNCS)

Designed for recent graduates with degrees in IT or related fields, providing them with a platform to engage with industry professionals and advance their careers.

Technologist (Tech-MNCS)

Targeted at individuals with certifications in technical skills and experience in IT, such as software developers, network engineers, and system administrators.

Student (SMNCS)

This category is for students enrolled in IT-related academic programs, offering them access to resources and networks to support their education and career development.

Affilaite (AFMNCS)

Granted to individuals who are not Computing graduates but has attended computing/IT training for at least one year or has worked for at least two years in a Computer/IT environment

Members can apply for upgrades as they advance in their careers and attain higher qualifications and experience.

How to Apply for Upgrade

STEP 1:

Login to your profile on the Membership Portal

STEP 2:

View and update your profile (to reflect your current contacts details, qualifications, position etc)

STEP 3:

View and pay your outstanding dues (Upgrade Application will not be successful until outstanding dues are paid)

STEP 4:

Locate the Membership Upgrade menu on the dashboard to apply

STEP 5:

Submit your application with payment of the processing Fee

STEP 6:

Expect response from the Secretariat
