i) verification of qualifications claimed by candidates

41st Publication of Voters’ Register on NCS WebsiteMay 04, 2025The Voters’ Register is the list of eligible voters (individual and corporate) who must have:
1. paid-up his/her Annual Dues
2. Registered for the 2025 International Conference

GUIDELINES
Elective Positions and General Requirement
Elective Positions

President
Deputy President
Chairman, Conferences Committee
Chairman, Innovation, Research and Development Committee
Chairman, Credentials Committee
Chairman, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee
Chairman, Education and Manpower Development Committee
Chairman, Publicity, Events and Trades Services Committee
Chairman Audit Committee
Zonal Coordinators (One from each of the Six Geo-Political Zones)

General Requirements

Must be a full member of the Society for at least 5 years and fully registered by CPN for a minimum of 3 years by the date of Election.

Must have attended two NCS Conferences and one CPN IT Professionals’ Assembly within the last 3 years.

No interested candidate can hold the same position for more than 2 terms by the date of Election.

No interested candidate can be in NEC for more than 8 years consecutively.

Must be paying annual dues at both NCS as at when due and CPN yearly in the last 3 years. Hence, must be a paid-up member at both NCS and CPN.

Must be an active financial member of his/her local Chapter and be recommended by the local Chapter Executive Committee.

Specific Requirements for the Elective Positions
President

Must have been a Fellow of the Society for at least 5 years at the time of election.

Must have been sworn in as NCS NEC at least for two terms at the time of the election.

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Deputy President

Must have been a Fellow of the Society for at least 5 years at the time of the election

Must have been sworn-in as NCS NEC at least for one term at the time of the election

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline.

Chairman, Conferences Committee

Must have served in the NEC or Conferences Committee for at least one term at the time of election

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Chairman, Education and Manpower Development Committee

Must have served in the NEC or Education and Manpower Development Committee for at least one term

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Chairman, Credentials Committee

Must be a Fellow of the Society

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Must have served in the NEC or Credentials Committee

Chairman, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee

Must be a Fellow of the Society

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Must have served in the NEC or Ethics and Disciplinary Committee for at least one term at the time of Election

Chairman, Innovation, Research and Development Committee

Must have served in the NEC or Innovation, Research Committee for at least one term at the time of Election

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

An academic/Research & development/ Innovation Officer (Ph.D. holder not less than the rank of a Senior Lecturer at a University or a Research Institute or equivalent in the industry)

Chairman, Publicity, Events and Trades Services Committee

Must have served in the NEC or Publicity, Events and Trades Services Committee for at least one term

Must have demonstrated the ability to promote the image of the Society, interact with members (Corporate and Individual), the industry and general public.

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Chairman Audit Committee

Must have served as a Member of any NEC Committee for at least one term

Must have a basic (simple and not complicated) knowledge of accounting

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline

Zonal Coordinators (6 Positions; One representing each of the Six Geo-Political Zones)

Must have served in NEC or as a State Chapter Chairman for at least one term at the time of Election

The candidate must be within a zone and can only be voted for by financial members of the same zone at the general election

Must have a degree in Computing or Information Technology related discipline
