2025 NATIONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION FOR TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS

Introduction
The National Information Technology Competition for Tertiary Institutions is Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)’s annual tertiary institutions Information Technology (IT) competition which aims at promoting and identifying IT skills, interests, and passion amongst undergraduate students.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to undergraduate students in all Tertiary Institutions (Private and Public) in Nigeria – Universities, Polytechnics/Colleges of Technology and Colleges of Education that are studying Computer Science and its related courses.
The entry application must be filled and submitted online via Nigeria Computer Society website www.ncs.org.ng
Competition Coverage
Computer Science courses and emerging trends in technology as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), National Board for Colleges of Education (NBCE) and the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).
Guidelines
- Interested applicants must currently be enrolled in any recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Each applicant is to pay a non-fundable registration fee of Five thousand naira (₦5,000.00)
- Applicants must fill the competition application form online
- Applicants are to submit the following: duly signed reference letter (using the Institution’s letter head paper) by Head of Department and electronic copy of their passport with the application form.
- Any costs or expenses incurred by entrants for participating in the competition are at the applicant’s account. The organizers will only provide the prize for awardees.
- The decision of the panel of judges is final and is not subject to any form of appeal with regards to selection of finalists.
Important Dates
Application opens: 10th February 2025
Application Closes: 30th June 2025.
Stage 1: 31st July 2025.
Stage 2 (Final): 3rd August 2025.
Winners will be officially recognized and awarded during the NCS Annual Conference. This can be virtual or physical.
